Troubleshooting tips

ONU Modem Light Indicators :

Power Light:

  • Solid Green: The modem is powered on and functioning properly.
  • Off: The modem is not receiving power. Check if it is plugged in and if the power outlet is working.

PON (Passive Optical Network) Light:

  • Solid Green: The connection to the fiber network is stable.
  • Blinking Green: The modem is attempting to establish a connection with the fiber network.
  • Off/Red: No connection to the fiber network. This could indicate a service outage, fiber break, or poor connection. Contact support if this persists.

LOS (Loss of Signal) Light:

  • Off: Everything is functioning correctly.
  • Red/Blinking Red: There is no signal from the service provider. This could be due to a damaged fiber cable or an outage. Contact support if this does not resolve quickly.

LAN Light (Ethernet Connection):

  • Solid Green: A device is connected via Ethernet, and the connection is active.
  • Blinking Green: Data is being transferred over the Ethernet connection.
  • Off: No device is connected via Ethernet, or the connected device is powered off.

Wi-Fi Light (if applicable):

  • Solid Green: Wi-Fi is enabled and functioning correctly.
  • Blinking Green: Data is being transmitted wirelessly.
  • Off: Wi-Fi is disabled or not functioning. Try restarting the modem or enabling Wi-Fi in the settings.

Router Light Indicators:

Power Light:

  • Solid Green: The router is powered on and working.
  • Off: The router is not receiving power. Ensure it is plugged in correctly and the power adapter is functioning.

Internet Light:

  • Solid Green: The router is connected to the internet.
  • Blinking Green: The router is trying to connect to the internet.
  • Red/Off: No internet connection. Check if the ONU Modem is working and if the cables are connected properly. Restart the router and modem if necessary.

LAN Ports Lights:

  • Solid Green: A device is connected to the respective LAN port, and the connection is stable.
  • Blinking Green: Data is being transmitted over the LAN connection.
  • Off: No device is connected to the LAN port, or the device is not powered on.

Wi-Fi Light:

  • Solid Green: The Wi-Fi is enabled and functioning.
  • Blinking Green: Data is being transmitted over Wi-Fi.
  • Off: Wi-Fi is disabled. Try enabling it through the router’s interface or restarting the router.

WPS Light (if available):

  • Solid Green/Blinking: The router is trying to connect to a device using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup).
  • Off: WPS is not in use. To connect a device using WPS, press the WPS button and try again.

WAN/Internet Port Light:

  • Solid Green: The connection to the modem (ONU) is active.
  • Blinking Green: Data is being transmitted between the router and modem.
  • Off: No connection to the modem or internet. Ensure the cable between the router and the ONU modem is connected securely.

General Troubleshooting Tips:

Restart the modem and router: Turn off both devices, wait for 10-15 seconds, and then turn them on again. This often resolves most connectivity issues.

Check cable connections: Ensure all cables (power, Ethernet, fiber) are securely connected.

Check for service outages: If you notice a loss of signal or no internet connection, there may be an outage in your area. Contact support if the issue persists.
